Certamente essa frase irritante é usada apenas por adolescentes, não é?

Bem, na verdade, um linguista da Universidade da Pensilvânia, Mark Liberman, descobriu que "como totalmente" é amplamente utilizado por homens e mulheres de todas as idades.E homens incrivelmente de meia-idade usam mais.Então, diga o que você gosta no GW, ele não é legal, ou mesmo tentando desta vez :-).

Essa crença de que, se algo parece novo para nós, também deve ser novo para todos os outros, é realmente conhecido como o Ilusão de frequência.Temos uma tendência natural de superestimar nossa própria experiência pessoal e não dar um passo atrás e olhar para o cenário geral.

É por isso que o jogador de loteria menos sábio geralmente se convence de que descobriu um segredo significativo para derrotar a loteria.

Aqui está o que quero dizer.

Tome sistemas de rodas.E, especialmente, os sistemas de rodas vendidos por pessoas que gostam de usar muitos depoimentos para provar a eficácia de seus "sistemas" (apesar de ter cuidado para não fazer nenhuma reivindicação que teriam que substanciar legalmente ...).

So next time you see something that looks significant about the lottery results, step back a moment and consider if it only looks significant because you don’t have enough information. Because maybe the infrequency illusion has just paid you a visit.
